Copywriting is my jam and love, so if a client needs this service in any form, then sign me up! This may look like:
Social media copy (organic and paid)
Product descriptions
Taglines
Long and short form blogs/articles
Website copy
Tone of voice development
EDM copy
SEO
Script writing
Press releases
I also have experience in social media management, which includes:
Content strategy and best practice recommendations
Organic content strategy and implementation
Creative briefing
Content sourcing
META/Pinterest/LinkedIn paid ads strategy and implementation
Influencer management
And with the above comes the ability to add project management to my bag of tricks:
Internal and external team liaison
On-set and event leading/support
Campaign management and support
-
This can vary throughout the year depending on how many retainer clients and projects I have. It’s best to reach out when you need me and I will give you an idea of availability. Being flexible is key to my service, so I can work with you for:
A stint (short term)
A season (specific period)
Something steady (retainer/ongoing basis)
-
You absolutely can, but you may not need it. Since 2017, I've seen many clients realise that, instead of adding to their headcount, they can have someone senior like me get the work done in fewer days or hours at a higher level.
No sick leave, no annual leave, no faff. Just me slipping into your team seamlessly, keeping up with internal and external stakeholders of all levels & seniorities and delivering like I’ve been there forever.
-
Honestly? I saw a gap. This kind of support wasn’t being clearly or intentionally positioned for agencies or brands, even though it’s exactly how I’ve been working since 2017.
Over the past couple of years, it’s become really clear that clients actively want this. So now I’m being more intentional with my offering and positioning it so I can reach brands or agencies who may not realise it’s an option. At the same time, I want to highlight the extent of my services to current and past clients.
-
Absolutely! While I am based in Melbourne, I have also worked with clients in Sydney and Brisbane. As a born-and-bred Sydney girl, I regularly go back, so there is always an opportunity to be there in person.
But thanks to the world of Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime etc, you could be based on the moon and I would still be able to get the work done for you!
Communication and transparency are key, so wherever you are and wherever I am, I will always be open about when I'm working and what I am doing.
-
I have a degree in journalism, a postgraduate degree in PR and have been working within the media since 2009. I started in radio and after doing (undoubtedly) the best job in the world as Perisher’s Snow Reporter on national radio and TV for five seasons, I then went on to work in roles at Nova, Channel 7 and MTV, before starting my freelance career and moving into digital/social media content & strategy.
-
I don’t personally, but I have worked with, and can call on a network of talented videographers, photographers and content creators who do a MUCH better job than I ever could! What I’m good at? Briefing and project management. I know exactly what is needed and how to communicate that clearly to creative teams.
-
I don’t like to pigeonhole myself into a specific industry or niche, so I am always open to any and all opportunities. I have, however, worked extensively within:
Hospitality
Lifestyle/Wellness
Beauty
Sport
-
You know that feeling when you start a new job and everyone’s using totally different systems, and you’re like… oh no?
Yeah, I don’t get that anymore!
Jumping between brands and agencies means I’ve learned (and re-learned) platforms quickly, including:
Google Workspace
Microsoft 365
Slack
Monday.com
Brandwatch
Sprout
Sked
Hootsuite
Later
Canva
Klayvio
And if you’re using a program not listed above? Not a problem at all - give me a day, and it’ll be second nature. -

Variety (and flexibility) is the spice of life, so Let’s chat.
-
Absolutely! Even though I'm not working in a full-time capacity for you, I am more than happy to be client-facing, attend external and internal meetings and present decks.
-
Of course! I’ve spent years floating between teams and levels. I can confidently match the energy in any room and always lead and communicate with respect.
-
Technically, yes, the name Along Came Alice would get a bit awkward if there were five of us! But I’ve got a tight crew of trusted creatives I can pull in when a project needs extra hands. I still lead, manage and oversee everything.
-
Absolutely and I miss the office buzz (my dog wants a rest from me too!). I love the energy of a team so popping in is never a problem; in fact, it’s often better for getting things moving.
-
I love it as a tool. I use it when it makes sense, usually for a quick brainstorm or to spark and/or flesh out an idea.
But is my job in danger? No. My work sounds like a human, not a robot. And that’s what brands and agencies want first and foremost.
