TENNIS AUSTRALIA for the AUSTRALIAN OPEN + INDIAN WELLS PALM SPRINGS
Event project management and delivery

The client: Tennis Australia  

The brief: I co-created Content Concierge, a first-of-its-kind service that delivered photos and videos directly to players’ phones before they stepped off the court. Following its success and strong uptake, I was invited to lead and deliver the service in Palm Springs for the Indian Wells tournament, widely considered the “Fifth Grand Slam.”

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: This role allowed me to build close working relationships with players, their management and the ATP & WTA, as I was trusted to deliver content directly to personal phones. Since its inception and success, Content Concierge has evolved year on year and remains synonymous with the Australian Open as a bespoke, player-first offering.

NIKE
Event & Influencer management

 The client: Nike needs no introduction! I was approached to work with this incredible brand through the equally incredible Somatic Media Group, a creator-led agency that focuses on sparking emotions to ignite conversations. 

 The brief:  This first-of-its-kind Nike creator event brought together 80 diverse TikTok and Instagram creators, from nano to macro, for a series of content workshops held during the tennis in Melbourne. Led by senior Nike marketers and Somatic Media, the program was designed to nurture and empower emerging creators while strategically identifying potential long-term collaborators for the brand.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: Sitting between senior Nike leaders, Somatic Media and creators, I was the consistent face that creators could rely on and their go-to point of contact. From logistics to energy in the room, I made sure every workshop ran smoothly, Nike’s values were upheld, and everyone felt supported and welcomed.

LUCAS COLLECTIVE
copywriting/social media project management

The client: Lucas restaurants sit at the heart of Melbourne’s buzzing, world-renowned hospitality scene, with a portfolio of iconic venues including Chin Chin, GoGo Bar, Kisumé, Hawker Hall, Baby Pizza, Grill Americano, Yakimono & Society.

The brief: Owned EDM and organic social copy, plus on-set photoshoot support, while they searched for a full-time copywriter.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: With a strong background in hospitality copywriting (and a genuine love for Lucas restaurants), I slipped into the team quickly and had my initial contract extended.

1HOTEL

The client: 1 Hotels, part of Starwood Hotels, blends luxury with sustainability to create nature-led stays in the world’s most iconic cities.

The brief: Craft a pre-arrival email for guests staying at the newly opened 1hotel in Melbourne, setting the tone for a tranquil, refined and nature-led stay that highlights Melbourne’s uniqueness.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: To truly capture the experience, I spent a full day at 1 Hotel before writing the EDM — taking in the sights, sounds and flavours of the space so I could translate the feeling into the copy and create something that genuinely speaks to the arriving guest.

DANNII MINOGUE
On-set support and social media content capturing

The client: Dannii Minogue

The brief: Capture BTS and social-first content on-set of Dannii’s Target Australia campaign shoots.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: I’m Charlotte James’s trusted right hand, regularly stepping in for her long-time social media client Dannii —  a role built on years of loyalty, trust, and working side by side together.

GREAT OCEAN ROAD TOURISM
copywriting/articles

The client: Great Ocean Road Tourism is the official regional body championing one of Australia’s most iconic coastlines from Torquay to the South Australian border.  

The brief: Position the region as a must-visit foodie destination by bringing the Taste Great Ocean Road campaign to life through 6 articles showcasing amazing local culinary businesses.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: Although I couldn’t visit in person, I brought each story to life through thoughtful phone conversations with the business owners. Every article was approved immediately, with no changes required.

The client: Loved by celebrities and everyday glow-getters alike, Spray Aus is an Australian beauty brand leading the bronzing space with premium at-home and in-studio tanning products.

The brief: Copywriting for EDMs, social media, website copy and blog.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: Already a Spray Aus lover, I quickly grasped the brand’s tone and vibe with ease during their rebrand and website rewrite.

The client: Perisher is the largest Ski Resort in the Southern Hemisphere 

The brief: Served as Senior Snow Reporter and Media Supervisor, delivering daily live TV and radio across local and national networks while acting as the public-facing media lead.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: I built strong relationships with Perisher management and national media, leading to being invited back season after season — still a career highlight to this day!

Social media ‘Playbook’ development

The client: James Hardie via Storyation agency

The brief: Write a clear, user-friendly social media playbook that turns best practice into something anyone in the wider James Hardie team can refer to,  even if social isn’t their thing.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: Due to its success, Storyation and Medium Rare Content Agency contracted my services again for more clients.

The brief: Write branded content articles that read organically and stay true to The Urban List tone.

The client: JLL is a global real estate services firm that owns and manages major retail and dining precincts.

The brief: Day-to-day management of Sydney’s Darling Quarter & Wintergarden social media accounts, ensuring organic and paid strategies are aligned with overall marketing objectives.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: Although based in Melbourne, I effectively run all accounts without issue. My paid campaigns average 10,000 monthly clicks to the Darling Quarter website.

The client: The Star Sydney & Gold Coast are iconic entertainment hubs known for premium dining, hotels, and nightlife.

The brief: Day-to-day social media management of all restaurants within The Star Sydney & Gold Coast, including Sokyo, Cucina Porto, BLACK Bar & Grill, Garden Kitchen Bar & Kiyomi, ensuring organic and paid strategies were aligned with overall marketing objectives.

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: I worked with The Star via 1OH1 Media, starting with one venue in Sydney, then, due to strong results, expanded to multiple venues across Sydney and the Gold Coast — all managed seamlessly from Melbourne.

The client: Nova Entertainment  

The brief: Nova’s Integrated Delivery team sits at the intersection of Sales and Digital and required an experienced Paid Ads Specialist to own the creation, execution, and optimisation of client campaigns in Ads Manager, who could ensure performance benchmarks are met (and exceeded).

The ‘Along Came Alice’ touch: Formerly a full-time role, this position evolved to suit the reality of unpredictable campaign timings. My freelance flexibility and strong copywriting skills enable me to jump in as needed, keep budgets lean and get things done quickly. Previous to freelancing, I was employed as a Digital Show Producer, so I have a longstanding relationship with Nova.
